Probleme » PowerPoint 2016 deleting unused slide masters

Hello all,

I'm working with PowerPoint 2016, when deleting all the slides that use a specific layout, it's deleting the layout from the Slide Master as well. I have a sample deck that I can email if someone is able to help me so they can see the problem first hand. The slide master is preserved also but still when there is an unused layout, it gets deleted from the slide master. Any ideas of why this is happening?
